cycling gloves for protection
Hi,
I was aggressively cleaning a boat (with a toothbrush and scouring pads) and over did it. Even though I cleaned for only 2 hours My hand/palm ached all night long.
I have read that many of you wear gloves to protect your hands. Have any of you worn cycling gloves? I cycled in the past and remembered that the gloves had gel or padded palms and usually mesh half fingers and velcro straps on the back.
They were extremely confortable, breathable, and flexible.
I am curious to see if any of you have worn these and if they worked for you.
Thanks,
Lori

Re: cycling gloves for protection
Hi Lori Australia Calling, Good thinking, I still cycle and wear the gloves you mention. However for general work even painting I found cheap gloves from China ,cotton -poly mix either with hundreds of small gell dots on the face or some are double sided, some with cris-cross sprayed on gel are also excellent and much cheaper than the cycling goves. (less $1 Aus ) These gloves are sold for industry in the Saftey Clothing stores. Regards.

Re: cycling gloves for protection
Hi, Australia:
Thanks I will find them, hopefully something in a fashonable color. If I am going to have to wear gloves all the time I might as well look good, right?
Regards,
Lori

Re: cycling gloves for protection
I wear cloves when mowing, working out etc. One theory suggests riding motor cylcles encourages dups.....vibration etc.

Re: cycling gloves for protection
Thanks for the update on your wearing gloves. I bought some yesterday that have a little bit more room and padding than my gardening gloves, hope they work.
Regards,
Lori
