    		 DC with absence of nodule?

    is it possible to have DC without characteristic cords/nodules? I have a patient with very rapid onset of contracture of ring finger, also has swollen, shiny knuckles of ring/pinky, but feel no cords at present.

    Sounds like a tendon problem.

    My mother who is 74 has it in her pickie and has no cords or nodules, that we know of. She just started having contracture the past few months, and was diagnosed after my diagnoses, she thought it was arthritis. If she has nodules or cords they are deep within her palm and can not be felt.

    My first symptom was in my thumb. There was no visible cord or nodule, but it bothered me and I assumed it was arthritis. The thumb joint nearest my palm (MCP?) was/is enlarged - another reason I thought it was arthritis. My thumb contracted some without visible cords. The deeper cords were released by NA.
