Re: hand doctor in washington state

Depends on where you're at in the state. Go to the Xiaflex site & it will provide a list of doctors. http://www.xiaflex.com/ Not sure if my link worked...

Dr. Hutson in Walla Walla is the doctor I used. I was his 3rd Xiaflex patient. My experience with him was great & I'd highly recommend him. There is now a doctor in Seattle performing NA--Dr. Jerry Huang--if that interests you.

I haven't seen my insurance coverage as yet (my Xiaflex injection was last Thursday), so I'm not sure how it will play out. I do know that I had a co-pay of $35 through Bio Scrip for the Xiaflex, & they contacted my insurance company to set that up. The Xiaflex runs about $3200, so if the $35 holds true I'll be pretty happy. The visits to the Dr's office had my typical co-pay. I had the doctor's office contact my insurance with coding numbers to check for coverage & they seemed to think it was covered. I also contacted my insurance & they said Xiaflex was covered just as any other typical procedure was.

The thing to remember, as expensive as Xiaflex treatment sounds it will still be no more expensive (probably cheaper) than surgery.

If you have any specific questions for me, send me a private message & I'll give you my phone number and e-mail.
Eric
