Heat humidity and hands

This is my first summer with this hand problem and even though i have did my radiation it seems like my hands do not like very hot heat and humidity. I live in Missouri and it has been very hot here for 2 weeks and my hands are very swollen and ache. Can't get my rings off. They seem to have very sore and tender spots throughout the palm around the cords. Give me winter back. Is anybody else having a problem with heat?

My hands are not swollen nor do they ache. It has been 90+ here for weeks on end with humidity so high you feel like your breathing air is being stolen from you. My osteoarthritis has been acting up with this heat and humidity. My index finger cracks nonstop. So far nothing with my palms swelling after my RT. Try to stay cool and hope the hands stop swelling.

Funnily enough I have had a mild case of that as well during a warmish fortnight here. I'm 15 months on from my RT and was thinking that something was going wrong so it's interesting that you say that!

Cambidgeshire, UK.

Re: Heat humidity and hands

I'm glad to here someone else is having this same problem. Or should i say i wish neither one of us have this problem. I noticed your from England. My husband is from U.K. also. From Essex and south-end , rochford area. I'm very glad you posted that because i thought something was reactivating. Its been 4 months since i finished RT and i can't believe its been 15 months for you. I hope i get there. There are times i want to do na just to pop those cords. The nodules are soft and have gotten smaller but it seems like those cords cause problems . Don't get me wrong i'm glad i did radiation and i have no contracture but the cords in the palms -wish they were gone.

Re: Heat humidity and hands

Some cords were still deep in my palm after having NA and RT and make for some tightness now. I had NA, then RT four months later. I'm glad I waited because the nodules were developing rapidly and it became more evident where the active DD was and RT was done on my whole palm. Some cording probably developed in that time, too. I have thought about NA again, but I don't have any burning or other symptoms, only the tightness. It doesn't seem to be getting tighter and my grip is so-ooo much better than before RT that I'm going to wait. Each hand is different.
