I have many nodules in my rt palm including two at the base of my thumb. There appears to be a cord forming on the thumb as well. My pinkie finger is most involved but little contracture in the finger itself. There is also a little contracture in my thumb none of the other fingers. Contracture is mostly in the palm which appears to be a cord forming deep extending from the many nodules at the base of my pinkie finger. I also have some general contracture of my whole palm. Movement of the pinkie from side to side is not smooth, but it jerks across a nodule or cord or something inside the palm near the base of my pinkie. (It's hard to describe, so I hope my description makes some sense to somebody.) I was first diagnosed in November 2007, but it seems to have been progressing more in the past 3-4 months. I have now stopped taking Condroitin/Glucosamine, just in case.
I'm quite sure that I will go for NA. I'm wondering if I should get NA very soon rather than later which was my gut feeling. I was thinking of getting NA in April, then was thinking I'd wait until late July. No real reason not to go ahead, just a little more convenient in my schedule. I am convinced that I will NOT have surgery. What experiences have you had regarding delaying or going ahead and having alternative procedures done, NA, Radiation, anything but surgery?
