Mixed results with radiation
I had radiation in 2009 - 1 week, 3Gys in July and same in October. My original nodule - ring finger - appears to have gotten slightly smaller and flatter and my finger doesn't hurt when I bend it.
About a month ago I began feeling a new nodule about 5/8" diagonally away from my original nodule nearer to my little finger. It appears that a cord is developing as well. This new nodule was within the radiation parameter.
I'm kind of bummed that this is happening as from what I've been reading, this area cannot receive radiation again.

How disappointing that must be for you. I would have thought that that nodule would have been active even if you couldn't see it and would have been captured by the radiation? Unfortunately it looks like it wasn't? I had full palm treatment last year and was told that we only get one shot at this, so I think that's it for radiotherapy.

Re: Mixed results with radiation
Let's keep posting on this. We can develop our own research project by tracking what happens with us all.
I am hopeful that mine will remain in "remission", if that's what it would be called. If checking it all the time makes if come back, mine certainly will. While I'm not fixated like I was before RT, I certainly am always wondering if something is going on where I can't detect it. I am watching my other hand. It is showing some Dupuytren's but doesn't seem to be what I'd call "active" like my other hand was, at least not yet.
