NA experiences

I last posted a few years ago on the old forum. I'm a 61 year old male. In 2005 I flew from L.A. to Florida to have Dr. Eaton perform NA. In 20 minutes my ring and pinky went from 30 degrees to flat. I played golf 3 days later. A few years later it came back in the same area. As many of you know, it no longer requires a cross country trip. I enlisted the services of Dr. Benhaim at UCLA. In the consultation, he mentioned that he does a more aggressive procedure than Dr. Eaton. He said the reason was to prevent, or at least slow down reoccurance. I had Dr. Benhaim's larger gauge needle almost 5 years to the day after Dr. Eaton's. This time the hand was bandaged for about 3 weeks. The dressing had to be changed every day. Not fun. I also had to go the hand therapy twice a week for about a month. My other hand is showing DD symptoms. When it's time, I'll opt for the Dr. Eaton style minimal invasive approach even at the risk of a quicker reoccurance.

Re: NA experiences - New Symptoms in other hand

What signs do you have on the other hand .... !?

If it's just nodules I would highly recommend consultation of a radiation therapist.
If they are successfull, you may not require either of the surgical procedures .

If you are in the L.A. area and if your "other" hand shows signs of DD, I would definitely look into Radiation Therapy. I had RT last November with Dr. Tripuraneni at Scripps hospital in LaJolla, CA. RT works great on early stages of DD (just nodules). My nodules on left hand and left foot are definitely smaller and much softer, some have dissapeared. The itching and burning that I had has stopped and the span is wider in my hand, I can open it much better. The progression has stopped, for now.
