Re: NA Procedure Done and Very Happy!

Yesterday I had my second session of needle aponevrotomy to my badly affected left hand; all four fingers as well as palm having what is termed as stage 4 Dupuytrens Contracture. Once again, I returned from the doctors surgery directly to my office and continued my days work.

Treatment was a little more complex on my left hand than on my right hand which required only one session to correct my ring finger and I am happy to report that the hand is now flat which enables me to shake hands normally, use a mouse and generally flat hand anything I want.
My left hand will take two sessions, the first took care of the index finger and the palm and I will return middle of December to complete the remaining three fingers which are almost parallel with the palm. I may require a final session dependant upon the results of the December session.

My point is that this hugely inconvenient and incapacitating affliction can be treated with dramatic results painlessly, reasonably cheaply with results, albeit with some chance of returning within 5 years, far outweighing any further discussion. I have not lost a days work, experience very slight discomfort (and I do mean slight), the dressing will be removed by me on Saturday and after a further week/10 days, its quite easy to forget I ever had Dupuytrens.

I'm open to any further questions if it will help anyone to make a decision.

Hi, may I ask who you saw for treatment and how is it now?

Re: NA Procedure Done and Very Happy!

Sure. My right hand has completely healed and although there seems to be a small raised nodule where ring finger joins palm, it doesn't bother me one bit. After further treatment to my severely affected left hand about 6 weeks ago which will provide access to three fingers, I'm ready for my next visit next month (December) for what should be my final treatment.

I am privileged to have been accepted for treatment by Doctor Badois, one of the pioneers of NA and lets face it, the uninitiated have plenty of reasons to be apprehensive about the simplicity of this form of treatment and about the absolute before and after contrast for a 15 minute session. I am indebted to Doctor Badois for his knowledge, manner and technique and for the freedom provided as a result of his treatments.
