out dated picture of radiation treatment
I don't know if anyone noticed that on the radiation therapy and then click on radiotherapy that there is this out dated picture of radiation machine with person sitting down. For the people that come on this forum and is interested in radiation treatments this picture is very scary looking. Please someone put up a recent picture so everyone will feel better about checking into radiation. That picture looks like it is from the dark ages. Don't want to upset anyone but the picture needs to be changed. Take care

Cindy, this is not an "old" picture but an up to date picture of RT using x-rays. You were probably treated with e-beam machines which look different and don't require the shielding.

Probably a good idea to have a picture of both? As I stood at the machine I asked why I had no protection as shown on the website? I was told that it wasn't necessary but the nature of the treatment and what I'd read didn't fill me with confidence following that answer

I have several different pictures of only my hand during different stages of RT. I have them marking it, the initial putting my hand under the machine, my hand covered with the cloth and then it being taped down prior to RT. If you guys want these pictues to see if they are appropriate for the sidebar let me know and I will send them to you.
