I did some knitting last week and ever since I have pain on the back of my hand from the base of my ring finger down to my wrist. Apart from taking painkillers is there anything else I can do? (I no longer knit of course!)

Sorry, I didn't make it clear. I was diagnosed with Dupuytren's in May of last year after a wrist fracture and ever since I have had pain in the back of my hand. It did improve but typing and knitting especially seem to make the pain flare up. I expect it is the nerves being affected.
