Physical Therapy after NA
Mike S. mentioned physical therapy after NA in one of his earlier posts and it reminded me of some questions I have. I'm curious how many of you have had PT after NA. I'm also interested in exactly what treatments you had and whether you think it helped you. After my recent NA my PT-- with hand specialists-- consisted of 5 visits. The treatments were -a) making a splint b) contrast baths c)ultrasound d)hand massage. At my last visit I purchased some "hand putty" and was given a print out with 4 or 5 exercises to do at home.
Thanks, Diane

Re: Physical Therapy after NA
In my case I had PT (30-45 minutes each) 3x/wk at first tapering to 2x/wk for around 3 mos. total. Various combinations of ultrasound, heat, massage, exercise, splints, etc.s largely similar to the description of your PT. Still wearing a loose night splint 4-5 nights/wk (I give myself weekends "off"). Almost 3 years post NA, finger about as straight as it was post NA (originally 95 degree small finger PIP brought to an official measurement of 15-25 degrees).
