physical therapy/Xiaflex?

3 months ago I had a 60° limitation with my left #5 digit (pinky finger). This contraction came on gradually over a period of many months eventually making the ability to put my hand in my pocket and hold a bar of soap difficult. After a daily regimen of stretching and twice weekly therapy with a DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy) consisting of ultrasound, low level laser, manipulation and heavy massage the limitation is to 15° and fascia buildup is down to 1/3 size of what it had been. I now have full use of the hand but am hesitant about having Xiaflex injections should they be required to avoid any PIP damage resulting from what is left of the contraction. Has anyone had experience with Xiaflex injections?

Re: physical therapy/Xiaflex?

Hi,

You can see my notes on xiaflex injections further down on the board.

I had my first xiaflex injection and manipulation in June. Before xiaflex, I had a -60 degree curvature of little finger. Measurement after treatment with xiaflex is between 0 and -5 degree. Hand is nearly flat. Very positive outcomes.

Having second xiaflex injection on a different nodule tomorrow. I will keep posting results.
