Hi, As background, I fell broke my wrist and several bones in my hand. Ive had 3 surgeries to get my wrist back in place and have 2 titanium rods inside. After surgery No. 2 I developed DD. During the 3rd Surgery Dr. removed 2 nodes, scars much better but still raised, now I have 5 new nodes on the injured hand plus one new one on the other hand. My Dr. wants me to have more Physio plus Ultrasound which he says will soften the nodes, Im a bit sceptical about this treatment. Callie and Pixie, I did ask about any way of keeping the nodes from re-forming, but basically the answer was, if there was some way, we'd all be using it, so sorry for this news. Anyone out there with knowledge about ultrasound and DD. I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks for your reply to my question re ultra-sound for keeping the nodes small. I had a visit to my Dr. about 2 weeks ago, and he said my skin was much too thin and sensitive to have RT, and Ultra-Sound was the only option he gave, nothing about any other alternative therapy. The Physio is for the hand and wrist which has had 3 surgeries, so thats ok, but I haven't heard from anyone about whether Ultrasound actually works in keeping these nodes small. Any and all info greatfully received as I live in the middle east, and 66 years old. mbird
