question for wolfgang

hi wolfgang ,please could you tell me the difference between nac and alc as i have been on nac now for aprox 2 months and have bought some alc but not taken yet as do not want to mix them, which one would you say would be more effective ? trouble is i dont want to stop nac to try alc in case alc is less effective, cant seem to find enough info to compare the two, any info and feedback would be gratefully recieved.

Re: question for wolfgang

Hi Suzuki, NAC abbreviates "N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine", which is the chemical name. NAC drugs might use different brand names, like ACC. I am not sure what ALC stands for but probably for Acetyl-L-Cysteine or it is just another brand name. Have a look at the declared content, that's what counts. And of course the concentration.

Re: question for wolfgang

NAC and carnetine are not the same. Carnetine is often marketed as nutritional addition and "fat burner" but there doesn't seem to be any scientific proof for such an effect http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carnitine. Carnetine also has an antioxidant effect which might help with Dupuytren's. In 2006 some people started taking Carnetine and reported their results on http://www.dupuytren-online.info/Forum_E...p-4_4477_1.html. You can find further comments by searching our forum (use Search in the top menu bar).

The effect of NAC is described on http://www.dupuytren-online.info/dupuytren_NAC.html.
