Re: Success with Radiation Therapy in Richmond VA

A buddy of mine with DC came by this afternoon to show me his right hand. I had shook hands with him 8 month back and could feel his fingers were all bent in. When I asked him what was going on he was a bit embarrassed as he held up his hand and before he could a word I said "oh you got it too!".
He had suffered for years and the pinky was fully closed and the ring finger was at 50 degrees. 9 weeks ago ago he too a trip to Florida. He was told he would probably be left with a 20-30 degree bend in his pinky. He has less then a 10 degree bend. His ring finger is back to straight. His worst complaint was about torn skin after the release. Truly amazing! Seeing is believing.
I will probably be heading south ASAP.

Re: Success with Radiation Therapy in Richmond VA

Good decision. I found Dr. Eaton to be a wonderful, experienced, compassionate doctor. His wife who is also his nurse is great as well. My NA three months ago was very successful and the results were better than expected.

My advice is to wear a night brace for a long time after the NA. After I had NA in 2006 I only wore the night brace for three months and I personally believe that it is one of the reason the contracture came back so soon...I plan to wear the night brace for a very long time. You can ask Dr. Eaton about it when you see him.

Good luck and keep us posted.
