Xiaflex and TEARS
Last week I had xiaflex on my ring finger ( which had had unsuccessful surgery over a year ago ) I had xiflex on another finger (different dr)with fair results after it was first approved. First I found both times the shots swelling, itching etc. painful though they assured me I wouldn't. More importantly this time when they manipulated my finger they it they left me with a large open wound close to the base of my finger. They called it a "tear" . So far they have just cleaned it and put a rather large bandage around it and part of my hand. It has bled perodically for several days and some puss. It is not closing at all. Has anyone had one? How long did it take to heal? What did they do? I am seeing the Dr this Wednesday so any information on thiswould be very helpful.

If you search the forum for 'silver' you can find several past posts of experience with skin tears after Xiaflex.
'Silver' because it seems the recommendation is to have the doctor apply silver nitrate to speed healing.
In your case I would be concerned if there is pus, because in that case there is infection. Need to get a nurse to clean it up, or a doctor to take a look.
