my left ring finger

I had the injection early last November & have been happy, but when I went back to the doc after my right index finger injection and manuplitation, I asked about the large knot between my ring finger knuckle & hand. He said it would most likely not go away because of the broken cord???? Any thoughts?? I will never be able to wear my wedding rings agin with this knot. Otherwise my right index finger (which WAS 45% angle) is doing OK. Some discouragement, but better than what I had

Re: my left ring finger

Can't you get your wedding ring made bigger? Or wasn't that the real question?

My injection into the thumb/ index webbing was successful in allowing for a much wider grip, but like Diane, it has left a knot. I suppose when the cords break their unbroken ends contract together into a nodule?

Hmmm. I plan to ask Dr. Denker about this result for Xiaflex. I won't see him until the end of July.

Re: my left ring finger

I have had all of my rings cut on the inside of where they would be on your hand. I came up with this idea after having to cut my wedding ring off of my hand for surgery. I had the jeweler just round the edges smooth. This also allows you to bend the ring bigger to get it on, then massage it smaller once on.

Works great!
