Problem with 'preview' feature?
Just curious -- I now recall that this same thing happened to me last time I posted here. I just spent maybe 15-20 minutes on a message (which I will recreate shortly). It's my own dumb fault for not highlighting the input text and copying it, but I did not. I assumed (as I recall I did some months ago as well) that the PREVIEW MESSAGE feature was safe to use - but as soon as I clicked on it, 'poof' all was gone. As noted, shame on me for not copying first, but "preview message" should not do this, right???
P.S. Just tried it again (with this message) and same thing -- poof, all gone after an attempt to 'preview'. This time I copied the above text first. No more 'previews' for me!

We are very sorry about that and understand that it is very annoying to lose a text! The strange thing is that I tested preview right now and it worked fine. Maybe there is a time out when writing a post? I had a similar experience with my own webmailer. I had written a lengthy email and when I wanted to send it the webmailer told me that I need to login again and I had lost that mail.
If you only spent a few minutes writing your above post then time out ought not to be the cause of your problem. Maybe avoiding "preview" is then the best advice. But it does not seem to be a general problem.

Works fine for me on several different browsers and devices. The only time I have the problem you describe is if I switch tabs whilst previewing with Chrome on an iPad. So I would suspect browser settings, but am not sure what to suggest.

Best not use the "preview". Just write your comment and then "edit" if needed. Or, "copy" and save. Unfortunately, the problem hits when least expected.

Just a test... it's now 23:46 in the UK and I'm off for a rest.... 
righto... back again and it's now 03:10 here.... so lets see if I can lose everything!
nope, that previewed okay so doubt it's a time-out issue... any problems with power or the rest of the network?
