Re: Recent RT in Hamburg - Prof. Seegenschmiedt
Hi Callie,
I live near Atlanta Georgia, small town called Lawrenceville.
I have an oncologist treating my ledderhose. He is in Tampa Florida. I leave tomorrow for the 2nd round. After 1st round of RT on left foot for LD, and within the past 3 weeks DC has reared its ugliness in both hands & LD in the other foot. Since the oncologist in Tampa does not have much experience with this disease I have decided to have the rest of the limbs treated in Germany by Prof S.
I have read from another person who drives a distance to Atlanta to be treated with NA by Dr. Kay KirkPatrick. I went to see this doctor. She confirm the early stages. Although I liked her & she appears to be very knowledgeable she does not treat with RT.
Another NOTE: to the person who travels from Rome to Atlanta. If you are in need of treatment with her and need a place to crash due to distance. Please contact me and perhaps you can crash on my sofa

Re: Recent RT in Hamburg - Prof. Seegenschmiedt
That would be me who drives to see Dr. Kay. Thanks for the offer! It's not a bad drive though, and I easily do it in half a day - round trip plus the appointment. I've actually got an appointment on Sept 16 with a hand specialist in Rome. He treated my mom's hand with NA this summer. Mom's hands are nowhere as advanced as mine, but I was pretty impressed with this doctor. It would be much easier to see him if I'm having procedures done, since he is so close. After I have my appointment I'll have a much better feel for what I think of his abilities to treat DC. Thanks again!

Hi Dawn, Well just know if you decide you want to come back to Atlanta for treatment you have a place to crash. My house is large and clean. I certainly understand having to travel for treatment and the stress of it all. So just know your covered if you choose that route

Thanks again. We used to live out your way. We lived in Lilburn. Off Highway 29 and near Beaver Ruin Road. We bought a house there when we first got married. After a few years, we decided that we were weary of the Atlanta traffic and the harried life that came with it. And I grew up in Atlanta. lol. So we moved up here to Bartow county. We aren't really in Rome. We are between Cartersville and Rome. Nice rural area. But still close enough to Atlanta to enjoy all it has to offer.
