Splinting.... How long did you wear a splint at night?
Talked with doc office and they said to wean off at 4 months for me. I still have a bit of tightness and swelling stopping me from getting a full fist. Making a fist is still tight but can make one.
So when did you all stop splinting ?

So when did you all stop splinting ?
Four to five months-- after Xiaflex in 2007 (*&&^^%) and after NA in 2009 and 2011. Contractions came back in 14-18 months. I'm going to get a different splint this time -otoform with silicone and hope it will be better. I'm also going to get "dynamic" splints to wear during the day. We shall see. You really need to use finger putty and/or basic hand stretching exercises daily.

I use my hand ALOT during the day gripping things. So don't know if I need putty . But have thought of holding warm plastic bottles to try and get swelling gone.

But it feels so good ...  I keep mine in the freezer and then almost unconsciously use it for 30-60 minutes when I'm watching TV. It can be soothing, relaxing, building flexibility and it can build strength if you put your fingers in the middle and do finger pushups! It can do lots of things and really helps keep hands flexibile.

What kind of procedure are we discussing? I wore a night time splint for 2 1/2 months following surgery.

I had Fasciotomy on my left ring finger and they removed a big nodule just above my hand on the same finger. I posted pics from afte surgery a couple months ago.

Arghhh-- I wish I hadn't looked Makes me more determined than ever to use NA as long as I can. I would love to see a picture of your hands now.

Looks like a limited fasciectomy rather than a fasciotomy. Was there much pain? I had very little pain.
Have you tried wrapping the fist with a self adhesive bandage for 10 minutes at a time about three times a day? That is what worked best for me.
