Xiaflex injection complication

Hello out there-

Anyone else have a volar plate rupture during xiaflex extention? I had my injection in my pinky with 70% bend on wednesday and extension Thursday. I had extensive blood blisters and bruising on hand and up my arm. I was under twilight anesthesia so was not really awake when he extended. While he was wrapping, and I was awake, he indicated I had a volar plate rupture and he would explain when I go back next week. I am casted. It is quite painful. Anyone have a similar situation or any thoughts ??

Re: Xiaflex injection complication

Dave, as a matter of fact, I got that bruising all the way up my arm into the armpit. Really painful to fully extend it now. I'm sure it will pass but wonder about future complications as it is really tight and I have already had a frozen shoulder on that same side. Also had bad blood blisters that he excised before putting an old school cast on it. Having the cast temp removed on Friday for a looksee and then replaced. I'm pretty sure it will look like you said. Thanks for the feedback!
