    		 Diabetes or Dupuytrens?

    One hand surgeon diagnosed Dupuytren's. I spoke yesterday with one of the Cordase researcher's who told me that if I could open my hand out all the way that what I had was not Dupuytren's, but a flexor tenosynovitis related to longstanding Type I diabetes. I have had three A-1 pulley releases done in the last three years, the last one is the one that was diagnosed Dupuytren's as well as the tenosynovitis. The cord in the center of my palms does protrude as in Dupuytren's. But...I can open my hand all the way, leading me to think I don't need Cordase injection but that I need an A-1 pulley release done on this right pinky. I have an app't. with my hand surgeon early Mon. am and I'm sure he'll be thrilled to know I've been rediagnosed by another more prominent surgeon via telephone.

    MIDDLE FINGER RIGHT HAND HAS SLOWLY DEVELOPED SEVERE PAIN, CONTRACTURE, AND SWELLING, WHICH I HAD MANY YEARS AGO.
