Rheumatoid arthritis

Hi - I'm a UK male approaching 50 and have all the classic signs of dupuytrens in one hand and painful lumps in the arches of both feet. Parents both have dupuytrens.

I'm, having trouble with the health service - GPs have not got a clue and refer me to feet clinics.
However, they are more used to cutting toenails.
They want to refer me in turn to hospital as they think it is arthritis.

I laughed this off, but looking up rheumatoid arthritis, it does cause lumps on connective tissue (as well as joints). It too affects both feet and hands.

Are dupuytrens and ledderhose a subset of Rheumatoid arthritis then?

I'm considering going along with this misdiagnosis, as the resources available to those with arthritis (physio/massage, orthopaedics, etc) are bound to be better. (than none).

thanks for your thoughts.
