Re: Acupunture/enzymes/vitamin E

Hello,
I have had Dupuytren's for roughly 5 years. It started with the small finger on my right hand. By now it is affecting the small and ring finger on my R.H., the small and index fingers on my L.H., and I have a nodule under each of my feet. The small finger on the R.H. is permanently frozen at the 2nd joint at 90 degrees and now being pulled from the palm as well.... The disease is progressing quickly. I have had 2 surgeries and 2 NA on m R.H. and 2 NA on my L.H. I do wonder if the surgeries have cause the disease to surge. I have recently read about Enzyme therapy (Neprinol, bromelain, nattokinase and serrapeptase) and have noted the comments pertaining to it on this forum. - Is there any recent experience with this?

In some cases (about 8-10%) surgery can aggravate Dupuytren's and can lead to quickly growing new nodules or cords http://www.dupuytren-online.info/dupuytr...ideeffects.html. Radiotherapy might be a means to slow this down or, at least for a while, you might try wearing a night splint to prevent further contracture. Not so sure about the other therapies you mentioned. They seem to be in an experimental/research stage http://www.dupuytren-online.info/dupuytr...s_research.html .
