    I am a 43 yr old with dupuytrens in both of my little fingers my right hand little finger was contracted at 55 degrees so in November 13 I had a partial fasciectomy due to a larger nodule around my pnp joint. I am now fully recovered and my little finger is now at 45 degrees I have been splinting at night and most of the day for 2 weeks after my stitches had been removed. I have had physio on my hand. So my next question is what can be done now as it appears the last op has not given me any improvement just a scar on finger ?

    I wonder what your surgeon's advice is? You could always get a second opinion. I think I would want to know why there is (still) a contracture, is it due to old cord or nodule not removed, regrowth or recurrence, scar tissue, a joint problem, and then decide from there. Is it a DD contracture or can you straighten it with splints or the other hand? If there is a clear cord, with no complications, then maybe Xiaflex is an option, but then why wasn't that considered first (poor results with PIP and pinky)? I would not yet think you have reached the end of the road for treatment options, even further and more radical surgery, but really only a skilled and experienced hand specialist will know from your specific condition.
