Hi Callie, well I am trying to avoid surgery so I shall be starting RT next week. I am hoping it will hold back any further contracture. This time last year my hand was normal.

Sounds like a good plan. It doesn't look like you have much, or any contraction yet. Are your nodules tender at all?

I finished RT last week and so far I am optimistic about the results. Good luck. I would suggest you encourage them to do as much of your hand as possible.

Hi Tusk little contraction , I believe between 5-10 hence why I am going for RT.. The nodules can be tender yes !! Callie I am thinking of you. Fingers crossed

The first thing I noticed following RT was that almost immediately the nodules were no longer tender. That was my first indication that it was working.

If you wait a little too long like I did on my left hand, the nodule stops growing but turns hard. Other softer, newer nodules disappeared. Either way in my book, RT works if it stops the progression.
