I thinke the reduced bloodflow and oxygen might not help DD but i am not sure it's linked tissue/disorder wise.

Re: Dupuytrens and Raynaud's

I also have both. There’s a lot of Reynards in my family but I’m the only one with Dupuytrens.

Re: Dupuytrens and Raynaud's

During this current winter, I have developed Raynauds in a couple of toes and fingers. At the same time, I have just been diagnosed with Dupuytrens in my left hand.
It can’t be a coincidence!

Re: Dupuytrens and Raynaud's

I developed Raynaud’s a few years before Dupuytren’s. It’s tempting for those of us with both to think that there must be an association, but apparently 4% of the population has Raynaud’s so there are bound to be a number Raynaud’s sufferers on this forum even if there is no association. Has anyone out there seen anything in the literature that confirms an association?

Re: Dupuytrens and Raynaud's

I just found and joined this group today (7/14/2020). I am a 67 y.o. female and I have had Raynaud's for some years, now. I'm guessing that I first began noticing symptoms back in the mid-late '90s, maybe. I have also recently begun to show signs of Dupuytren's as well. I have relatively small nodules in both hands, with my right being more pronounced than my left. There is no contracture as yet, though.

My father had DC in his left hand, with contracture, back in the late '90s. He had surgery that helped, but he told me later that he could tell that it was beginning to come back. He passed away in 2004. He never mentioned having anything that could be called Raynaud's; although i suppose he could have had it without noticing or telling me of it.

A few years ago, my brother told me that he has Raynaud's. He hasn't mentioned anything to me about having anything resembling Dupuytren's, though. So, I will ask him about it and see if he also has both, since I apparently do.

Thank you for this discussion topic about these two maladies possibly being related. I had never thought of them being connected until I read this post here. I guess I'll have to talk with my doctor about it and see if he knows anything about either of these conditions and if they are related.

Re: Dupuytrens and Raynaud's

Just joined, so, hello to all. Have had surgeries twice in each hand beginning in 2006. Rt hand was involved first. For past two years the Rt thumb is becoming involved again.
Last Feb. had two episodes with blue hands and fingers. It has taken until just today to have EMG done on my arms. Initial indications are that at 69 tears of age, I have no nerve trouble at all. Ortho 2 months ago ruled out any deformities. So I expect to be told by VA that I have Raynauds.
I have had emphysema with occupational bronchitis since 2000. Also the family produces age onset diabetes in our women.
A much younger brother had DD in only his Rt hand, but we are out of touch.
Finally we are of Pennsylvania Dutch and Polish extraction. The DD came through only on the Pa Dutch side.

Re: Dupuytrens and Raynaud's

Hi everyone,

I also just discovered this forum. I'm 22 and I've had Dupuytren's for about two years (2 nodes at about stage 1 and 2). I've had Raynaud's since I was about 15. I'm convinced they must be linked somehow!
