Re: Radiation Yes or No Doctor states it does not work
Jolene, this crawling, tingling, numbness sounds like it could be a peripheral neuropathy type thing.

Re: Radiation Yes or No Doctor states it does not work
Jolene,
On the first round of RT all the pain, tingling, and crawling sensations stopped. As time progressed during that first week I started having pain and a burning sensation in the treated area. When I called the doctor he said it was the DD basically not liking being attacked by the RT. I know it scared me because I thought it wasn't working, or that I had made my condition worse. That feeling went away as time progressed and never returned. Try to relax and document what it feels like and is it different or the same as before. How long does the feeling last? Are you using or over using your hand when this occurs? Hopefully it will stop as mine did. I know hot water really aggravated the treated area. It felt like putting hot water on a bad burn.
Keep an eye on it and if it feels like it is worsening, call the doctor and ask their opinion.
Lori
