Re: Xiaflex approved by FDA today

I have had NA, clinical-trial Xiaflex, and surgery. NA is the least invasive. The clinical trial was not successful. The drug will not dissolve the collagen, just break in down, then the doctor tries to pull the finger to snap the chord. If the joint is too infected with the disease the drug will not work. I had surgery on the same finger. The surgeon had a tough time and my finger is still not straight because the knuckle had already fused. Dr. Eaton performed NA originally, it came back and I tried the XiaFlex trial, I wish I had returned to Dr. Eaton. I highly recommend him, regardless of where you live.

Email pictures of your husband's hand to Dr. Denkler, West Coast or Dr. Eaton, East Coast (See contact information in the left column of this page under Needle Aponevrotomy.) Give them a description of what procedures he has had. I'm sure that either will respond about what they can do.
