I had NA & want to skip PT and do it on my own...

I treated my own frozen shoulder/rotator cuff problem and don't want to waste the time, commute, and money on some therapist who is only telling me common sense. I wonder if anyone has had any success with self-treatments, such as stretches, exercise, and splints. I don't want to make things worse by over or under-doing it. A delicate balance, I suspect.

Q:What can a therapist do for us that we can't do for ourselves?

I used stretching exercises to free my frozen shoulder. My right should was frozen to the point I couldn't put a button down shirt on without assistance. I couldn't reach out without a lot of pain. I used towels to strectch and a short piece of rope with a pulley to manipulate my arm and shoulder free. Every workout brought tears. It really hurt, but after each session, it got a little looser, so I kept pushing
