looking for comments on NA providers in Minnesota

I have found 2 providers listed for NA in MN (http://www.dupuytren-online.info/NA_list_North_America.html) and wonder if anyone has seen either of them.

Dr. Marco Rizzo
Rochester, MN

Nicholas J. Meyer, MD
Stillwater, MN

I am closer to Stillwater, but could go to Rochester

Re: looking for comments on NA providers in Minnesota

I would recommend Dr. Rizzo and his staff. He preformed NA on my small finger, right hand last September. I have a 90 degree PIP contracture, large nodule/cord in my palm and 2 prior surgeries. He called it "tiger country" since the scar tissue would make it difficult to work around the nerves. He went at it carefully and was able to release some of the cording in my palm but ran into a road block at the base of my finger. I have a small, hard nodule there and I was getting noticeable "zingers" as he worked the needle around it. He didn't want to risk any nerve damage so we agreed to stop. No real improvement with the finger, maybe a couple of degrees but that's all. Not Dr. Rizzo's fault - I attribute it to my advanced DD and prior surgeries.

Re: looking for comments on NA providers in Minnesota

I had NA performed by Dr. Rizzo last year. He managed to get my pinky from 90 to 45 degrees but it only lasted for about 6 to 9 months. I don't know that he could have done anything differently to improve the outcome. I am hoping to avoid surgery and an considering xiaflex next.
