Colchicine and ALC therapy
I just wanted to post an update for those out there who may benefit from my experience. I had previously posted on the BioSpec forum. I was 32 when I had aggressive onset of dupy in my right hand. I had NA by Dr Eaton and it quickly regrew within a month so I had NA yet again. At that time he prescribed colchicine for me. I also started taking Acetyl L Carnitine which several other people started taking and we had several reports on their varied experiences. Over time I have dropped taking ALC with no change. I am therefore concluding that my remission of further regrowth and reduced pain is solely due to the colchicine. I have attempted to stop colchicine a couple times and the pain quickly reoccured within a week. I am a hereditary case of dupy if that helps give some guidance to others who might be looking for something to help in controlling the disease. I take .6mg once a day by the way. Has anyone else been prescribed colchicine?

Re: Colchicine and ALC therapy
I started taking ALC around the year 2000. I had 3 painful lumps in each hand. Over time the pain went away, no new lumps formed and the existing lumps softened. I take 2 pills each morning. Each pill has 500mg Acetyl L Carnitine and maybe 200mg Alpha Lipoic Acid. So I take 1 gram a day. If I quit taking ALC the lumps and pain come back.
For me, ALC works.
