i can't type very well. i survived. it was much more painful that i expected. the nurse sprayed that liquid stuff that numbs skin as the doctor injected. the injection itself was pretty painful but it didn't last too long, thank goodness. by the time i was halfway home the swelling and pain had really kicked in. the doctor said by tomorrow morning the swelling will be severe and may go to my elbow. as long as i keep my hand above my head it doesn't hurt. not a very practical way to sit around though. lol right now it feels like a thousands bees are stinging my entire hand. i can't really find a position that doesn't hurt.

i can take the bandage off at bedtime to inspect my palm. i took some ibuprofen but it's not doing much. any other suggestions for pain? i really didn't expect it to hurt this much.

Do you have benedryl?If so do a couple ,it will help alot with itching.The lidocaine shot tommorow is painful,but after that its not to bad.the injection site will be tender but you will have your finger back and using it in just a day or two.Hang in there ,its worth it.Dave

Tell that Doc to get you some Lortabs for pain tommorow.Its a painful couple days but it will be ok by friday.He should have got you some Lortabs today.Keep it elevated and dont bump it.I bumped mine at the hotel one night and it was terrible.Hang in there.Dave

I had a multiple injection my first one and my hand was huge.Your almost there take some benedryl and get some sleep.Good chance the cord will snap before you go back.It happens alot.Dave
