Has anyone heard of this?
My Dad and Sister had dupytrens of their ring fingers, and my sister and I have it on the bottom of our feet without contractures. Now suddenly I have a "dimple" on the palm side of my middle finger with a small lump above it. It is painless except if I hit it on something. But my palm is just fine. What do you think?

Welcome brainphy
Internet diagnosis is to be done with caution.
But you appear to have some predispositions for Dupuytren's. The dimple and lump on the finger also sound like classic DD symtoms, but you should see a doctor who is familiar with DD, and treatment, and get a professional opinion.
If it is DD, don't worry or panic, just keep an eye on it to track any, or the rate of progress. You may never need any treatment.
I also have a nodule on a finger but nothing in the palm.

Re: Has anyone heard of this?
Fifteen years ago I had the first indications of Dupuytren's that were similar to your description. On my left hand it developed into a 90 degree contraction. On my right hand they (two dimples, dermal pits) have almost gone away but are still there, and have been no problem/no contracture. You just never know how they will progress, if at all.
