NA in Europe
Hi,i'm new on this forum.I have dupuytren on both hands and had 2 NA procedures in last 5 years,one with Dr.Klein in the States and another one in Toronto.
I'll be going to Europe in September and i was wondering if somebody could give me suggestions,personal experience etc. regarding getting NA done in Europe.
Questions like where is a good place to go,how much ahead of time is usually needed to make an appointment,what is the average cost of the treatment...pop to my mind.
So any kind of info will be more than helpful!

Look at the drop down of the Treatment menu at the top of this page. Then look under Needle aponeurotomy (N). Then under NA List UK and NA List other countries.
Do you wear a night splint? I've had NA twice about 2 1/2 years apart. After I had NA the 2nd time last July, I got a night splint. It helps keep the hand and fingers straight. I anticipate needing it again, but maybe 3-4 years from now with the help the splint is giving. You should be able to get a prescription for a night splint from your hand doctor or GP.

I concur .. nite splintting can be very beneficial....I wear a spint on both hands. My splints also support the palm. The spints were made by a C.H.T. She took her time ..and did a great job. After 3 + years nodules in fingers are beginning to return..but no big deal...fingers are still straight. Steroid injection would most likely soften and disolve the nodules..as the was the case years ago. However...the trauma of the injection may trigger problems so I will put that on hold.

Check out Jonns Story -Click Patients above then Personal Experience Read- Jonns Story. He visited Germany. Also type in Dr Meinel he is mentioned in Jonns Story. He is situated in Wurtzburg in the area of Nuerenberg Barvaria. Infact I will visit him in a fortnight. He has had good results with the night splint (glove)shown in Jonns story. You can also watch Utube speech given by Dr Meinel in 2010 at the Dupuytren Conference. Regards.
