New Nodule fromed from too much use of hand

I did not know this could happen....... day before yesterday I shoppedg and pushed around a heavy cart, lifting 3 one gallon jugs of water in the store twice (I usually get the store to do it for me) and then twice again onec I was home.

Then yesterday I cooked for hours having to use a knife to cut the fat off the lamb and also to open the vacume sealed package. I also cooked and then cut up a lot of chicken. I worked for a couple of hours. My left finger hurt and and right hand felt stiff I felt I had taken on too much. But I like to freeze in bulk so I don't have to cook from scratch every night.

Today I noticed a red mark in my right hand and a new nodule, overnight just from lfting and cutting.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Re: New Nodule fromed from too much use of hand

I'm an educator who helped out with summer school this year. In making materials for the student I used the scissors - which are probably more than 50 years old , not in the least sharp and not even close to ergonomically correct. I finally traded for some children's safety scissors which worked infinitely better than the heavy teacher ones - but my hand just ached. The chord in my hand - with the MELT program I'm using seemed to be becoming less pronounced prior to this activity. It all seemed to come back in a day. Good news for me, it was apparently just swelling and it did go back down. I hope yours did the same.
