Nodule that seemed to burst.
Hi,
I’ve had a hard nodule on my right hand (dominant hand) below my 4th finger that’s been tender to the touch for quite a while. This morning I decided to massage it quite forcefully with my thumb and could feel it reducing in hardness which was very reassuring. Anyway, I continued going with reasonable force and I felt a sudden “give” and the nodule flattened completely. There was some minimal hardness remaining, but the nodule size was significantly reduced. I now have a superficial blister where the nodule was, but the nodule has almost completely disappeared. The blister is about 3-4 mm high and 6-7mm in diameter (I’m a metric guy) and tender to touch but not painful when I’m not touching it. It seems I’ve completely broken down the nodule tissue.
Has anyone else massaged their nodules and got this result? I’m not too concerned that I’ve done any damage to my hand because my finger can fully extend and flex and the blister is filled with a clear fluid - ie no blood.
Thought I’d post it here to see what others thought or have personally experienced from massaging a nodule.
I’ll be sure to post updates too.
Cheers
Jacee
