Remission?

My Dupuytrens seems to be going into remission. My phalanges knuckle pad nodes started in 2000. I went to see my physician and he said it was "Arthur" coming on (he was clueless and had never seen dupuytrens) My palm nodules started in 2001 as a sore spot on my left hand ring finger joint when I was steering my car. By 2006, I had palm nodes covering my ring and middle finger joints on both hands and spreading into my first fingers on both hands. In 2007 the "threads" started to appear and were pulling my left ring finger down and I could not lay either of my hands flat on a table or put my hands into the "prayer" position without much pain. When I went to the orthopaedic surgeon, he described how he was going to cut my palm open, remove the swollen tissue and I was looking at 3 to 6 months recovery. That is when I decided I was not going to do that. I found this forum and learned about NA and some of the chemical trials that are being tried. I contacted the University of Florida who was involved in AA4500 and was willing to be involved in any experiment or study. I couldn't get any response from anyone...including Dr. Egans office in Jupiter, Fl. So I decided to do my own research. Both of my parents, who show no symptoms, have been pharmacists since the 1950, and I am using "old school" treatments. I began a program that I have followed for 6 months, and my condition is reversing.

My palm nodules are reducing, and my "threads" in both hands are disappearing. My knuckle nodules, I have 6 on 8 fingers are 1/2 of what they were 3 months ago. I have been to my local physician and the ortho surgeon, and they can't explain it. I can lay both hands flat on the table and do not have the "stretching pain" I felt when I tried to flatten my hands 3 months ago. If anyone here is involved in any kind of research study, please contact me. I think I have discovered a treatment that can help...but I want it evaluated by professionals.

I just know that my ring fingers are no longer pulling down, my nodules are shrinking and I am reclaiming complete use of all my fingers.

Please understand...I am looking to get into a study and I AM NOT SELLING ANYTHING. I want to get involved in the research

I am not here trying to sell "miracle Wheat" and I want to get into a research study. I want experts to measure where my dupuytrens is...and then measure again in 6 months

Re: Remission?

Maybe the best way is to have a doctor in your vicinity assess your condition and have him do the same six months later. Ideally this doctor would be interested to publish results but a single case is usually too anecdotal for publication, even if the outcome is positive. But we could mention it on our web site and a doctor reviewing and confirming your progress would build trust.

The NA doctors that we are listing on our web site all are well familiar with Dupuytren's contracture. maybe one of them is living close to you. Don't be disappointed if you sense some reluctance about the effect of diets, for the time being diets are not considered useful. But pioneers always have to overcome resistance and maybe you find a new therapy.

Good luck to you!

Wolfgang
PS: occasionally Dupuytren's nodules do shrink and pain reduces. That's why research studies usually have an untreated reference group.
