I imagine they are probably right, but I have read in a few places that it might be wise to take action now before the condition progresses too much. Currently I can extend the finger about 90%. I don't have constant pain in my hand, but it is uncomfortably tight and accidental stretching results in pretty sharp pain. I would love to get some sort of treatment for this thing. I'm 52 years old, male and otherwise in very good health. Could anyone recommend a specialist in the NYC or Hudson Valley area that might take a more proactive approach to dealing with this?
