Connor work and Dupytrens

Another question... One thing I've never seen discussed is how and if heavy computer work affects this. I am constantly tying and using a mouse at work and wondering if it can worsen this, and if so, what modifications can be made.

Re: Connor work and Dupytrens

Patients often try different types of mouse due to hand pain or stiffness from their DD. I myself switched to using a mouse with my non-dominant hand when I had related problems with the dominant hand. Eventually my DD became bi-lateral anyway. I also always use a mouse instead of a trackpad on a laptop. I think the risk overall is more to do with tendonitis than exacerbating progression of DD but that's just personal opinion of how it affects me.

Re: Connor work and Dupytrens

Just from what I have read, there is no known correlation to physical activity. It does not involve the tendons, so it seems logical. But then I have used a mouse and keyboard for all of my career so . . .
