Two and a half years ago I had successful NA with Dr. Eaton on the ring finger of my right hand with an approximate 30% contracture. I'm in my early 60s and it had been progressing very slowly for about 20 years. However, about 6 months ago, it came back with a vengeance in my right hand ring finger and palm and started in my left palm It has progressed more in the past 6 months than the previous 20 years! Curiously, it started in my left hand at about the same time as I started wearing a medium heavy ring on the ring finger.
Alarmed, I sent pictures to Dr. Eaton's office who confirmed I was once again a candidate for NA; they suggested I could return to his office or since I'm on the West Coast, could consult Dr. Denkler. I really liked Dr. Eaton and although I don't want to make the trip to FL, am finding it difficult to make a decision? I don't suppose there's anyone out there who has had experience with both Dr. Eaton and Dr. Denkler???? or any other advice/suggestions?

Coincidentally, I just got a letter from Stanford about the "injectable enzyme" trial finally about to get underway (I was accepted into this trial almost 3 years ago but then funding ran out). I haven't yet received a response from them as to whether I will still be eligible after my NA treatments AND the protocol and treatment schedule seem quite daunting (up to 10 visits over 90 days and if unlucky enough to be in placebo group, 25 visits over 9 months). I'd like opinions on whether, if I am still eligible, I should even consider this trial.

I've had NA performed by both Dr's Eaton and Denkler and would recommend both without hesitation.
