You aren't specifying how your aggressive progression materializes (nodules and cords, or contracture and to what degree?), but open surgery is the last thing you want to do if and when all less invasive solutions fail. Do use the remaining week before your appointment to read the wealth of information on this site notably about PNF/NA, Xiaflex and Radio Therapy (RT) and see another specialist in case yours isn't knowledgeable of these or doesn't perform them. Whichever option you choose, make sure the doctor is trained and experienced, and consider traveling to one who is.
