    I had NA on PIP joint of left pinkie in July 2006. I went to physical therapy and they made me a custom-made brace. I wore it at night for about 4 months and did my excercises regularly....At that time I started having problems with heel spurs and started to go to therapy for my foot, and neglected my hand exercise and stopped wearing my night brace.

    I think I made a big mistake, my contracture started to come back, and two years later the contracture is back to pre-NA measurements.

    I would advise anyone who has had NA to wear a night brace for much longer.

    Hi Luba, I answered to your other post before reading this one. I believe you are right on target with your advice for wearing a night splint!

    PS: I prefer the term "night splint" because wearing a splint also during the day obviously would be wrong. Your joints need to be moved again and again, otherwise they will become stiff.

    Are you aware that Prof Seegenschmiedt Essen Germany has been using low dose radiotherapy for treating Heel Spur the same as for Morbus Dupuytren and Ledderhose.
