Wise words newman. I'm 47 on Sunday and have not had to make a decision such as Conan and yourself have had to. It's not my place to preach and I wasn't doing so. I've tried to take in as much as I can about Dups and two things that have stood out are that the younger one gets it then the more problematic it may be and that open surgery is probably not the best first line treatment? I don't think I've seen anyone else go down that route but that was the route taken and I hope it works and future problems are few. Language between counties can lead to easy misunderstanding

As I say, I've not had to make a big decision yet but will no doubt have to at some point, I pray that I get it rightwith the limited options here in the UK
