NA continues to be Web driven.

Having been involved what might be called the "NA Movement" for many years, it is encouraging to see more and more web sites include NA as a viable form of treatment. This was not the case before Charles Eaton was "recruited" into the movement by posters on the old BioS Forum. Here is one such site that in my opinion has it right. And, interesting enough, it sites the Dupretrens Society as a source of information:

If you click on "Dupuytrens Center of Idaho", you can read Dr. Kline's story of his journey into NA:

"I began reading all that I could about Dupuytren's condition and stumbled across a website on needle aponevrotomy (NA). I read about this technique with great interest; needle aponevrotomy had not even been mentioned by the two hand surgeons who had examined my hands."

Website begets website and the information spreads.

Also, good news, BioSpecifics has been working on their Forum by adding user names with *passwords*. That eliminates their past Troll issues. But will they put in the time to delete the Spam that has choked it to death? One would hope. The rebirth of the BioS Forum would be a positive event for all of us.

Re: NA continues to be Web driven.

Here is yet another example of how those with Internet access are being exposed to NA as a viable option to full Open Surgery:

http://www.seniorsresourceguide.com/Nati...rens/index.html

Again, what is so significant is that before the Internet this kind of patient-driven change of treatment options would *never* have occurred. The resistance to change in the community of Certified Hand Surgeons (CHS) is so profound that even after the procedure was presented to them at their own convention last year there remains only a handful of surgeons doing it as yet. The ones that are, and the patients using them are doing so quite apart from the normal channels of change within this medical specialty. Amazing.
