NA in Canada
Anyone had any experiences with NA in Canada? Who performs it here and is their medical coverage?

Unfortunately we are not aware of many MDs offering NA in Canada. You can find contact details of Dr. Binhammer, Toronto, on
http://www.dupuytren-online.info/NA_list_North_America.html
(scroll down to the list of MDs)
Formerly we had also listed in Montreal
Dr. Helena Spacek
Institut de Réadaptation de Montréal

She is listed to have been trained in France but it seems that she is either not much interested in NA or it is difficult to get a treatment scheduled. We haven't heard of anybody getting NA ther an took her of the list.
But that's about all we can offer. To much, I am afraid. Should you hear of anybody else please let us know!

I have been to see Dr. BInhammer twice now so you can ask me any questions if you wish. I live in BC and my medical covered the procedure totally. Of course, I was responsible for the travel, but that is a tax write off anyhow at the end of the year.

Thanks for getting back to me. How was your experience with the procedure? How long did the "cure" last before you had to go back? What sort of post op care did you need? How long was the waiting time from the time you got in touch with the Dr?

I have made e-mail contact with Dr Binhammer but I would like to hear first hand from someone who has had NA from him.

Threre is also now a doctor in Vancouver who does NA, Dr. Peter Gropper.

OHIP does cover the NA procedure for anyone from Ontario..
