NA in March, great results but....

I had NA by Dr. Eaton in Jupiter, FL. and I was astounded at the results. My mother has had several open surgeries for this 10 + years ago. So now I am afraid to use my hand to do things that require tight griping such as handles on weight training equipment, driving as vibrating steering wheel on a lawn tractor, etc.
Dr. Eaton said I could resume normal activiites within 2 weeks, but a month later and I am reticent to do so.Any suggestions?

Hi,

There is a lot of controversy about changing ones lifestyle to because of fear of trauma accelerating DC so your choice to curb activities will be a personal decision and which ever you decide I hope you do not regret, nor feel the need to appologize.

As for us, my husband and I just moved because of the extensive lawn mowing and snow blowing required in our previous house. When my husband was diagnosed I chose to take over these jobs and did them for many years. When I began working full-time my husband, now retired, took them back . The reality is that the vibration of the machines was hurting his hands. They ached terribly and the rate of contraction appeared to be faster then before he took back these jobs.

Our new house requires minimal yard work, and we will probably hire a snow service.

Good luck with your decsion,

Annabelle

I also went to Eaton..Great man and doctor in my opinion..I might say the night brace helps..wear it..The physical therapy department should have made you one..not a cure.. but helps
