I have had dupuytren for several years. I just found this form. I had surgery a few years ago (injection and then my finger straightened) but it is back. I also have it in my feet. At this point I still work and it's not painful but it is becoming harder to type and do some things I used to do. I also have pain in my shoulders but I don't know if its related. Does anyone have this?

Re: new to site

Frozen shoulder might be related, it's not for fully proven. Many Dupuytren patients suffer from it https://www.dupuytren-online.info/frozen_shoulder.html .

After your injection did you ever try wearing a night splint? Sometimes it seems to delay recurrence https://www.dupuytren-online.info/dupuyt...-splinting.html .

After an injection into my little finger I had recurrence and was later treated with NA https://www.dupuytren-online.info/needle_aponeurotomy.html . For whatever reason, maybe just accidentially, Dupuytren's seems to recur slower now. Maybe it is because this was the 2nd treatment, maybe the NA doctor did a specifically good job, who knows. At least, another treatment might be an option for you, too.

Has anyone tried acupuncture for this?

People have reported that acupuncture helps some with pain, but none with progression or contracture.

I have had Xiaflex treatment twice on my hand - about 2.5 years apart. I am an acupuncturist and I don't think that is a viable treatment option to straighten your contractures or deal with the cord.

I have read that in the early stages it may be possible to massage a mixture of DMSO, Lugol's iodine and magnesium oil.
One your fingers are curled I don't think that is possible. I'm not even sure if it is possible in early stages.
