Radiation in the US

I have had radiation done on both hands and both feet in Richmond, Va by Dr Cuttino.

After gathering the information from this website, and probably back last November, Dr. Wach was kind enough to send me information on the German procedure, and after studying the papers, Dr Cuttino agreed to do the radiation. She was suprised that no one in the US was doing the procedure, but she was not able to get the information in English until I was able to provide it.

I had the first sessions in January. and not having done this before she wanted to do 7 treatments so we did 7 every other day on the right side, then 7 on the left side. I didn't have any side effects so we agreed to wait for a couple of months and do it again. This time we did 7 straight days on both sides. I just completed the series 2 days ago, still, no side effects.

She said last week that she has had many calls and has provided several radiologist with the procedure. I think once the word gets out, the procedure will be routine.

Did it help? I truly can't say yet. But I have had open surgery on 1 foot, NA on both hands, and have taken NAC for 6 months, and I would try almost anything. I haven't noticed any progression on either hands or feet since I started the radiation, so even if the treatments stop that I'll be happy.

Re: Radiation in the US

That sounds promising! If the disease stopped or progresses slower then I would really consider it a success.

It's interesting that several radiologists called Dr. Cuttino. How did they know? Do they read our forum??

How was NAC? Any effect? Did you send a report? I can't access the BAC data right now, just curious.

Please keep us updated!
