The Spam Delete button.
I am now in recovery from the months of watching the former BioS Dupuytren Forum go down the tubes because they actually had no moderator and Spam took them down. It's now good therapy for me to hit the delete key and kill the few Spam post that have shown up here so far. Wolfegang and I receive email notification of every post and check it for Spam. We are ready for War against Spammers if they want to try and invade.
If it gets completely out of hand we may institute a system whereby each post must be approved by a moderator before it shows up. That way you will never see any Spam. We would rather keep things in "real time" and not employ the need for post approval, but we will do whatever is necessary to keep this site from the same fate as the BioS and the French Forum before us.

I agree.
We have to do whatever it takes to keep those miserable spammers away from our new home.

Re: The Spam Delete button.
As frequent visitors can see, we are getting a lot of use out of the Spam Delete Button. This site will continue to be cleaned at least twice a day. You guys can just ignore the Spam until Wolfgang or I shoot them down from both Germany and California. Day or night, they can't hide for long.

Re: The Spam Delete button.
With increased traffic and interest in this site we are attracting more and more Jerkface Spamers, which is *exaclty* what killed the BioS site. While I'm always looking for ways to get my viagra just a little cheaper :-) , we will not let this happen again here. Too many hands depend on it. Just step around the mess and we will clean it up!
I would assume that those of you who, like me, sat helpless as the BioS site was taken down must feel pretty good that the Spam doesn't last long around here. It will be an increasing fact of life, but no Spam posting will last more than 8 hours or so.

That's the spirit.
Keep it up (no pun intended).
